Where do you source your tallow?

Our tallow is carefully sourced from 100% grass-fed and grass-finished suet, from cows that are pasture-raised and certified organic. The animals are raised without antibiotics, hormones, or vaccines, and feed is pesticide-free, ensuring the highest quality, nutrient-rich tallow for our handcrafted products.

Do your products contain fragrance?

We do not use synthetic fragrances. Our products are made with pure botanical extracts, whole herbs, cold-pressed oils, and some unrefined butters, and therefore may have a natural botanical aroma.

Do your products contain allergens?

We do not add synthetic fragrance, artificial colors, or common food allergens like peanuts, soy, or gluten.

The Grotto contains a blend of aromatic essential oils. Some of these oils naturally include trace constituents, such as linalool, limonene, and geraniol, which may be allergens for sensitive individuals.

However, people with known sensitivities to botanicals, essential oils, or animal-derived ingredients (such as beef tallow) should review our full ingredient lists and perform a patch test before use.

How should I store my products?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid keeping products in the car. Some natural oils and butters may soften, harden or separate depending on temperature; this is normal and does not affect quality.

Are your products safe for pregnancy?

Our Barrier Oil , Lavender Dew , and Lip Butter are natural, pregnancy-safe ingredients. They are designed to nourish and hydrate skin during all stages of motherhood, including breastfeeding. However, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before using any new skincare products if you have specific medical concerns.

Are your products safe for babies?

Our Rescue Balm and Lip Butter were specifically formulated with little ones in mind. We selected gentle and natural ingredients suitable for delicate baby skin.

How do you make your products?

At Herbal Masonry, every product is manufactured in-house. This means we handcraft our products from start to finish in small batches to ensure maximum quality and freshness. We personally handle each raw ingredient—herbs, oils, essential oils and butters—infusing, blending, and combining them with care. Each item is thoughtfully packaged, so what reaches you is truly made by hand with intention and expertise.

How are your products formulated?

Herbal Masonry works closely with a cosmetic chemist to review and refine our formulas. This partnership ensures that our products meets both skin sensitivity needs and cosmetic safety standards, from ingredient selection to preservation.

Can I find your products in stores?

Currently, Herbal Masonry products are available exclusively online through our website.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
